| Well, it's finally here! This week Keith is coming and we are moving me to Wisconsin. What that means is right now my apartment is a disaster zone. Surprisingly, there's not much storage in a 2 bedroom apartment. haha! Anyway it will all be moved out of here soon enough. Then once I'm up in Wisconsin I have to separate it into stuff that's staying at Keith's house and stuff I'm taking to my apartment. This is only after we survive the 2 day drive in the u-haul. So far, no job....which means probably subbing....which I'm not thrilled about. But there are some perks to doing that- I will be able to take time off whenever I want, which is great because of Keith's schedule. And it definitely won't hurt when I look for a teaching job again the following year. So probably next time I write on here I'll be in Wisconsin That's all that's new with me. Hope y'all are doing well! | | |
| Does anyone read this? I'm not sure, but if you do....you should know that I'm engaged now!!!! That's right. Keith proposed to me last Monday, April 7. I was up at his house for spring break. He proposed at the beginning of the week, and we spent the rest of the week setting the date (Sept. 13 '08) and registering. There are pictures on facebook. This means that I'll be leaving Georgia and my job here, and moving up to Green Bay this July. I'm not sure if I'll have a job or not, but there's always subbing...sigh... So that's the big news. It's all very exciting :) | | |
| I think it's spring. I can't tell because we keep going from warm to cold and back to warm again....Today it felt like summer when I left the house, and three hours later I think the temperature had dropped about 15 degrees....odd. My students know spring break is only a week away, but they've been acting like they're already on spring break...sigh....Although I was thinking about that this week, and realized that last year my class was always "squirelly" so I really can't complain. But all this week, we'll be doing fun springy things to make the time go quickly (at least I hope). Which brings me to my being excited about spring break. I'm going to Wisconsin, so I'll be dragging out my sweaters and boots, but that's OK. We'll be spending a couple days with Keith's mom (love her!) and then painting one of Keith's rooms in his house (why doesn't he want to keep the pastel colored butterfly border up in the spare bedroom?!), probably a day in Door County, and some other things....can't wait! Also this is one of the most wonderful times of the year- March Madness! I don't follow NCAA basketball through the regular season, but once March Madness begins, I'm glued to the games. So great!

| OK, it's been a few months...Last time I wrote I was headed to a Packer's game. While it was freezing, it was absolutely amazing! I had a great time in Green Bay, and it looks like I'll be moving up there permanently pretty soon . Which brings me to something that I've been thinking about a lot lately. Keith and I have been together for 2 years now (wow time really flies!) and I'm just ready for the long distance thing to be over. Right now. haha! I just really need patience. I know good things are ahead, but I don't want to be that person who is constantly waiting for the next thing and never content and enjoying what I have in the present. Which brings me to the present....I LOVE KINDERGARTEN!!!! My kindergarten babies are no longer babies. They're reading, writing, and becoming very independent, which I love, but it also makes me a little sad. I'm going to miss them next year; they really are a great group of kids. Yesterday, we were talking about what we do when we get home from school, and one of them said, "I play Sudoku!" hahaha! I just love when I see that they have learned something. For example, right now, I'm doing the midyear testing that is required in Ga. kindergarten, and it is so exciting to see how much they've grown since August. I could go on and on (and sorry to the people I do go on and on to regularly ) but I won't. | | |
| Merry Christmas (eve)! I'm home in NY with Kimberly, Bryan and my parents. In a few days I'll be headed to Ohio for a night and then Wisconsin to see Keith. And for those of you who don't regularly check the facebook, I'll also be going to a Packer's game on Sunday- that's right! It's going to be so so cold, though. It's an OK trade, though. I'll be seeing Brett Favre! I can't even wait. Merry Christmas!!!! | | |
